Melnor XT Turbo Oscillating Sprinkler Review: Sturdy, Adjustable, Great Coverage
I bought the Melnor XT Turbo to water a lawn full of fresh grass seed, and it’s working great.
Build quality
It’s sturdy. It doesn’t feel like a flimsy plastic sprinkler that’ll crack after one season.
Coverage and spray pattern
It covers a good-sized area, and the spray pattern is even, which matters a lot with new seed. Patchy watering means patchy grass.
Adjustments
The adjustment options are great. I can dial in how far it sprays in each direction so it waters the lawn and not the driveway or sidewalk.
A note on range and water pressure
How far it actually reaches depends on your water pressure. If your house doesn’t have high water pressure, expect less range than the listed coverage suggests, and plan where you put it accordingly.
Setup
It’s easy to set up. Connect the hose, set the range, and it’s ready to go.
Pairing it with a timer
I run mine on the meross WiFi water timer, so it waters on a schedule without me touching it. Together they’ve made watering new grass seed close to hands-off.
Verdict
The Melnor XT Turbo is sturdy, easy to set up, and covers my lawn well, as long as you account for your water pressure. It’ll keep my lawn in good shape for years to come.
